Hi it's great that I got my camera for HTC 826 started working again after I removed my battery and put it back !! But be careful while removing your battery as it's stuck on back cover !!!

Same problem here but with HTC Desire Eye (rooted). Tried everything: factory reset, switching off phone for 10 minutes, clearing up cache and data, installing 3rd party apps, and restarting my phone again and again. Nothing worked.
I didn't try removing battery because my phone has a non-removable battery.

htc is giving me a lot of trable......when I face camera problem first time I send it tu service senter than its works...but now I'm faceing this baldy problem again.....

Same here.. 1. Battery is non removable so thats not the answer.. 2. Clearing camera data from settings does not work.. 3. Long press power off option and restart in safe mode to check whether it works. But then to no use. 4. Factory reset after backup does not work.. 5. Finally visit htc service center and handover ur phone for ten days.. its solved. 6. Once solved dont use third party apps on internal storage.. 7. And also Keep some storage space free, do not fully utilise ur memory space.. the only solution i experienced..
