3g-iphoneApple has posted their Q2 figures for fiscal year 2009, and it proves that iPhone sales are still going strong. Q2 ended last March 28, and based on their records, they were able to sell 3.79 million units which is a whopping 123% improvement form what they were able to achieve the same time last year. The iPhone, with a doubt, has been their biggest hit so far as it leads all of their products in year over year growth. Taking everything into context, this is certainly good for the company especially with the global financial crisis in effect, but they still have a long way to go if they plan to break into the top 5 largest mobile phone manufacturers in the world.

However, with a new iPhone expected to be unveiled in June, it’s almost certain that the new iteration will be able to surpass the sales of the current iPhone 3G which will help Apple inch ever so closer to being one of the top mobile phone manufactures globally.
