The last time we heard about the LG Viewty 2 was sometime early last month. Since then, a number of LG phones have been officially announced, but there hasn’t been a sighting of the Viewty2 whatsoever. Well, now it’s sort of official as it was accidentally leaked on an official LG Germany blog.

Lg Viewty Smart GC900

The LG Viewty 2 post has been pulled down already, but our source was able to snag some images and some additional info regarding the successor to their LG Viewty KU990 phone. The LG Viewty Smart GC900, as it is now known, is only 12.4mm thick and can record videos at a remarkable 720x480 pixel resolution. That’s apart from the 3-inch WVGA 800x480 pixel touchscreen display, fully loaded 8-megapixel autofocus camera with Xenon flash, WiFi, A-GPS, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, and S-Class 3D interface we’ve already reported in the past.

It’s confirmed to be headed for Orange in the UK, but as far as other regions are concerned, we’ll have to wait for an LG announcement. With this unintentional (or not) leakage, we're expecting that the LG Viewty Smart GC900 will become official and available sooner than later.
