We’re pretty excited with the new iPhone 3.0 firmware, but we’ll have to wait for summer to arrive to get a chance to play around with its extensive new feature set.

It’s a good thing, though, that Engadget has come out with a video showcasing the new firmware already installed on an iPhone. This will not only get us even more excited, but more importantly, it serves to acquaint us on how it actually works once installed on an iPhone.

This is, of course, just a beta version, but hey, it’s still better than nothing, right? So if you’ve got nothing better to do than count the months before iPhone 3.0 hits iTunes for public distribution, take a breather and watch this demo video to familiarize yourself with how this new OS version works on the iPhone.
