Garmin Android-based phone to come out in 2009

It looks like Garmin is ready to hop aboard the Android bandwagon as Tony An, Garmin’s Asia Pacific Marketing Director, revealed the company’s intention to release one in the second half of 2009.

Known for their bevy of GPS gadgets and phones, their entry into the Android mobile scene is certainly a welcome development that should add a different flavor to the Android mix. The only bad news is that we’ll have to wait roughly 7 more months before we see the new handset.
