Lg's latest monster camera phone is finally official. The LG KC780, as we previously reported, features a massive 8-megapixel camera with a lot of imaging features such as face and smile detection, and a variety of shooting modes including a smile shutter and "Beauty Mode" which automatically removes spots and blemishes on people's faces. It also has an image stabilizer, "Smart Light" setting for adjusting brightness and an ISO 1600 which is unheard of for camera phone. It also features a unique "Smart Bluetooth" function which can turn the phone into a webcam. That's a bunch of camera functionality that surely makes up for what it lacks in other departments.
Sure, it's got a 2.4-inch 240x320 QVGA display, FM radio, 140MB internal memory, triband GSM, GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, and an average 900 mAh battery but one thing sorely missing is 3G connectivity. The inclusion of WiFi and GPS wouldn't be so bad either, but I guess including those features will seriously jack up its price.
It'll launch in Europe in November with other countries in Asia following suit. No word though on when it will hit North America, but one thing's for sure, the LG KC780 sure makes for a great rival for Samsung's M8800 Pixon.
