Nokia kept true to their word when they launched their first full touchscreen-enabled phone, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone.

It comes with a moderately-sized 3.2-inch 640x360 display with stylus input support and tactile feedback, 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and LED flash, stereo speakers, proximity sensor, WiFi, 3G/HSDPA, GPS, Bluetooth, 81MB of internal memory and microSD card support up to 16GB. It’s expected to become available before the year ends with a retail price of 279 Euros or $392.

Here are a couple of videos showing off the 5800 XpressMusic's various features and the new S60 5th edition live in action.

Provided that a significant number of apps will work on the new platform without a hitch and it’s really as fast as it is in the video, then Nokia might have a winner on their hands. It might not be as cheap as the LG KP500, but I’d pick Nokia any time over an LG phone.
