I guess somebody at T-Mobile couldn’t contain their excitement anymore and decided to reveal the first official shots of what we’ve come to know as the HTC Dream Android phone now known as the T-Mobile G1.

Some specs have also surface and while we appreciate the 480x320 HVGA display, GPS, 3G and 3.1-megapixel camera, we’re a bit disappointed to hear that it won’t support video capture as well as stereo Bluetooth which we thought was included. There’s also news that it won’t be sold in stores outside the 2 to 5 mile radius of T-Mobile’s 3G coverage area which means that it won’t be available everywhere.

Even though we’re still excited over the release of the first ever Android phone, the following leaked details about its specs and availability has dampened our spirits a little bit. I wonder what other not-so-pleasant surprises T-Mobile has up their sleeves?
