It looks like Asus is prepping up yet another touchscreen-enabled phone for us aside from the P552w.

Dubbed the Glaxy7, this latest offering from Asus features a very large 3.5-inch WVGA 65L TFT touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera, trackball navigation, 3G/HSDPA, WiFi, 4GB internal memory, microSD support, and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It's expected to be launched in October though there's still no confirmation from the Asus camp.

It looks pretty decent, if not above average, all around, but one can't help compare it to the Samsung Omnia due to its similar design features. However, that should be the least of your concerns as its specs clearly show that the Glaxy7 can stand its own ground whether it's pitted against the Samsung Omnia or the 3G iPhone.

On a similar note, we've seen so many developments on the hardware front of mobile devices and it seems that the only thing holding back these fine mobile wonders from achieving further greatness is their OS. I wonder when Microsoft will finally release Windows Mobile 7 so that these mobile devices can actually be all that they can be.
