iPhone Firmware 2.1 update announced

Apple has just announced the release of iPhone firmware 2.1. Aside from fixing all the bugs and problems of the recent updates, firmware 2.1 is also expected to provide fewer dropped calls, improved battery life, and faster backups. Unfortunately, copy and paste functionality is still missing, but the fixes found in firmware 2.1 should suffice for the time being. The 2.1 update should hit iTunes this week.

As usual, those who are loving the jailbroken life should stay clear of this update for the time being, but I’m sure it won’t be too long before the iPhone-dev team releases an appropriate Pwnage tool for this firmware.
