Sony Ericsson has released an SDK tool for developers that will allow them to create their own custom interactive panels that can take advantage of the XPERIA X1s Panel Interface. So what’s this got to do with the average non-geeky mobile phone using Joe?
Well, aside from the usual Windows Mobile 6.1 features, you can expect some new unique additions to the whole Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 package care of the Panel Interface that will not only come from Sony Ericsson developers, but others in the same field as well. According to Sony Ericsson:
The Xperia X1 will offer the richest mobile user experience, putting the world at the fingertips of the user.
Provided, of course, developers download the SDK first and work on some nifty features that will greatly utilize the Panel Interface. So, if you're a developer and interested in the SDK tool for the XPERIA X1, you can download it here.
Unfortunately for us regular folk, all these promises have yet to be realized until the day it does come out in the market. So for now, we've got nothing left to do but count the days left before its supposed release date.
