The Nokia E71 may be headed to Canada soon, and FIDO is being rumored to be the telecom that’ll most likely be launching it. There are no exact details as of yet on when and how much it will cost. However, November is floating around as the possible birth month of the E71 in Canada. This is something to look forward to as the Nokia E71 is probably the best QWERTY-enabled E-series phone to date. It may not feature a touch-screen interface or Blackberry service, but its well-rounded features makes it a pretty versatile mobile phone.

With its arrival in the Canadian market, it will join the Blackberry Bold and the 3G iPhone in the heated smartphone category. It’s also a good thing that it won’t be available through Rogers (based on the current info) as they have already claimed bragging rights for the two other phones I’ve already mentioned. At least in this small way, the whole playing field evens out a bit.
