Rogers BlackBerry Torch 9800Confirming our earlier report, we’ve just received word from Rogers that they've posted details about the newly launched BlackBerry Torch 9800 over at their RedBoard site.

They don’t really say anything new about RIM’s first every slider that we haven't heard before, but they did mention that it will be part of their BlackBerry and Social View lineup, and it'll be available in the “coming weeks.” So, with taking that clue into considering, does this mean it’ll be available this month or September at the latest? We're certainly hoping so, but we’ll all just have to wait and see. Pricing, meanwhile, is still a mystery though you could make a guess based on its retail price in the US. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is priced at $199.99 on AT&T with a 2-year contract on select plans bundled with a smartphone data plan.

Bell likewise has gotten in touch with us regarding the newest BlackBerry smartphone. They sent an email informing us that it’ll be available this fall and more details will be revealed in the coming weeks leading to its release. Below is the brief message they sent over to us:

The new BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone with BlackBerry® 6 will be coming this fall to Bell Mobility. And because apps work best on the best network, Bell clients will enjoy using the BlackBerry 9800 Torch to access impressive mobile services from Bell like TV, radio, Remote PVR, Visual Voicemail, GPS Navigator and more. We will keep you posted with more details as we get closer to availability.

We've yet to hear from Telus, but we're pretty certain they'll be launching their BlackBerry Torch 9800 offering at the same timeframe as when Rogers and Bell will roll out theirs.
