After the Backflip, Motorola continues their quirky naming scheme with their newest Android phone, the Flipout.

Motorola Flipout

Reminiscent of last year's Nokia Twist, this new square-shaped sideways flipping Android phone from Motorola, according to Gizmodo Brazil, sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 3.1-megapixel camera, full QWERTY keypad, a 700MHz processor complemented by 512MB ROM/256MB RAM, GPS, HSPA connectivity, and Android 2.1 as its OS complete with MotoBLUR. It’s expected to become available in the US as early as next month in three different colors – black, green, and pink.

There’s no info yet on where else it will be released or its pricing, but given that it doesn’t have anything high-end to offer as far as its specs are concerned, we’re assuming that this new Motorola Android handset will be more on the affordable side of the spectrum.
