Is there a way to make a Samsung E316 work after you accidentally drop it in water?

Haven't dropped in the water yet. But what I would suggest is that you let it dry for at least 3-4 days. And make sure you took out the battery. Keep us posted on what happends.

you'll have to get in the phone and disable the startup password. That's the only way I know, unless you clear the CMOS professionally.

Dropping the phone in water usually does it. If after it dries, it it works, it won't last long..best to take it apart and clean it really good, some water marks may affect it too.
