Can I use my own music as a ringtone on the Nokia Lumia 520?

Hi there everyone. Can someone please try using a .wma file format instead of .mp3 and let us if it works? I believe it needs to be .wma to be read as ringtone. Please someone confirm this.

Hi there! Yes, you can use music for a ringtone. Just put your mp3 files into the Ringtones folder, and then go to setting.

To go to settings:
1. On the start screen, swipe left, and tap Settings > ringtones+‎sounds.
2. Tap Ringtone, and under Custom, tap the song.

NOTE: You can use a song as your ringtone if it is not protected with digital rights management (DRM), and it’s smaller than 30 MB.
