Various surveys have been published recently about cell phone etiquette. What is acceptable, and what isn't? Here are some sample questions:

1. Is your phone always on, and within reach?
A survey done by BBDO found that 75% of Americans have their cell phones on, and within reach during waking hours.

2. Would you interrupt sex to answer your phone?

The same survey found that 15% of people have, or would.

3. Are you more likely to return home to retrieve a forgotten cell phone than your wallet?
Survey says: 26% can't be without their phones during the day, but can survive without a wallet.

4. Is it ok to use your phone in the bathroom?
In an ABC News poll of 2,119 people, 38% said it was ok.

5. Have you ever formed an opinion about someone based on his or her ringtone?
A Cingular survey found that 25% of people have.

Cell phones conversations during dinner, while waiting in line, and while driving are becoming more and more socially acceptable.

Soon you will be able to make and receive calls while flying.
