Android Central

A real pick-me-up

from Android Central

The Sonos Move is a bigger, better-sounding Sonos One that you can abuse — and leave the house with. That means it sounds fantastic and is incredibly versatile, but at $399 it's also very expensive.

Certainly, Sonos seems to have hit on a formula with its compact speaker arrays and the Move is something to check out for folks looking for a flexible yet polished audio box. One thing I’d have to bring up is that S$729 may be higher than what some users wish to pay for a portable speaker. Then again, you’d be hard pressed to find another standalone speaker with the same features and quality.

Sonos finally gets up to speed, and in style

from Stuff

Even though it’s taken an eternity to get here, Sonos’s first portable speaker is entirely worth the wait.  Its adaptability and, most importantly, its sound mean it’s fine value and a bit of a no-brainer for anyone already Sonos-inclined.

The Sonos Move is the portable speaker that we've always wanted the company to make. With Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi, you can take it anywhere while Auto Trueplay will make sure the music is always sounding great. And that's just the start.

Even if the portability of the Move ends up a little undercut by the weight involved, the Sonos Move still up to most of its potential.

It sounds great, truly, and in some respects, it’s actually easier to set up and get playing than any other new Sonos speaker. That said, it feels a little expensive for what it is and unless you’re really going to take advantage of its versatility – take it from room to room, take it outdoors, and use it as true Bluetooth speaker – Sonos makes several other more affordable speakers that you’ll probably enjoy just as much.

If you can live with its price and size, the Sonos Move is an excellent portable wireless speaker that expands the play area of your Sonos system.
