A versatile wireless speaker with Alexa smarts

from TrustedReviews

It’s an Alexa speaker. It’s portable. It has Bluetooth. There are even radio presets if you look deep enough to find them. As long as you aren’t a true audio snob, you’ll love the Zipp 2. And even if you are, it’s a good choice for a casual listen. You can find better sounding wireless speakers at the price, but few more flexible ones.

Apple Insider

A well-rounded speaker

Like the original, the Zipp 2 and Zipp Mini 2 are exceptional speakers. They are very well rounded excellently balancing audio performance, multiple inputs, and a unique portable/Wi-Fi design seldom seen in the industry.

A sensational-sounding smart speaker

Like an Amazon Echo Plus on steroids, wearing a striking Scandinavian coat: the Libratone Zipp 2 sticks to its successful roots, marrying great design with good sound, voice control and a decent app. For this much cash we’d like a little more audio precision and bass, though.

The audio is great and it’s probably one of the better independent speakers I’ve reviewed in 2018, but with the added capability that the Zipp 2 brings to the table, it probably is worth the punt if you’re after a single device. You won’t be disappointed, especially if Libratone improves their Android companion app, but if you’re looking for a multi-room setup, Sonos is probably still the place to be.

Stuff

A classy little hi-fi speaker that’s smart in more ways than one

from Stuff

The Libratone Zipp 2 is a portable wireless speaker with Alexa voice control. It looks pretty good, works pretty well, and sounds pretty tidy considering its compact and portable form.
