What Hi-Fi

A fun and bubbly Bluetooth speaker with a serious sound

JBL has fine-tuned the sound to please even pickier ears and battery capacity has increased. We can’t reasonably ask for any more at this price.

A great speaker

Sure, you shouldn’t expect too much of an improvement over the Charge 3, since you’ll get similar sound quality, the same IPX7 build, and the same battery life. But, considering the Charge 3 was already a great speaker, then by default so is the Charge 4. If you already have a Charge 3, there isn’t any reason to rush out and pick up this newer model, but if this is going to be your first Bluetooth speaker, then you won’t be disappointed, as the Charge 4 is still one of the best around.

Rocks and pops in rugged style

JBL Charge 4 is one of the best mono waterproof speakers I have heard. I have tried most – Ultimate Ears, Altec Lansing, Braven, Marshal, Bose, Sony etc. This has the edge in low-end bass and battery life. If you want stereo, then the JBL Link is hard to beat. Mono for parties – stereo for serious listening and then you need good L/R separation, so two speakers are best.

Portable Speaker with plenty of power at its sleeves

from Gadgetbyte

If you have got the money, and want a portable speaker for pool parties or house get-togethers, then, this can be a great option. Plus, the battery seems to last like forever. The only problem lies with the price here. For me, it just doesn’t provide that value for money we all look for.

20 hours of battery life, waterproof design, and a bumping sound

from MajorHifi

The features and sound will still recommend this to anyone with even the slightest interest in portable sound.  If you’re in the market for a speaker, you can’t do much better for 150 smackaroos.  But if you’re just curious how good a Bluetooth speaker can sound, you should definitely check it out.
