The Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 is Lenovo’s answer to the transforming Android tablets first introduced to the world by Asus. It comes as a successor of sorts to the IdeaTab S2109 and features support for an optional keyboard dock that gives it extra points in terms of functionality and up to 10 hours of extra battery life. Why is it worth springing for this tablet from Lenovo and use a so-called Gobot instead of an Asus Transformer? Well, it mostly boils down to one thing… which is price.
The IdeaTab S2110 improves on its predecessor by packing a 10.1-inch 1280x800 pixel resolution touchscreen LCD in a body that measures a mere 9mm thin. There’s a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapgradon APQ8060A processor under the hood and 1GB of RAM to help make sure that navigating menus and using apps feels snappy. Its other features include 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and built-in GPS with A-GPS. It also boasts a 1-megapixel front-facing camera as well as a 5-megapixel main snapper located at the back.
The included battery on the tablet offers up to 10 hours of Wi-Fi web surfing and 10 hours of video playback. Either way, you’re sure to make it through at least a full day of usage before you need to recharge. And once you connect it to the optional keyboard dock, you’ll get an extra day’s worth of charge with an SD card and touchpad, to boot.
Lenovo manages to truly set the S2110 apart from similar offerings in the market by discounting its retail price of $449 to as low as $343 online. That’s one heck of a deal for a feature-rich tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

What the Critics Are Saying...
- Josh Smith, GottaBeMobileThe IdeaTab S2110 with the keyboard dock is a worthy competitor to the iPad and the Asus Transformer. The tablet is not perfect, but for users looking for a tablet with a keyboard, long battery life and access to all the most popular apps, the S2110 fits the bill. The keyboard dock extends battery l...
- Kristofer Wouk, Android AuthorityWhile we have a few gripes, in general there’s a lot to like about the Lenovo IdeaTab S2110. The build quality is solid, the performance is good even with its less-than-top of the line hardware specs, and it’s light and easy to use. The main problem with the Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 is the p...
- K.T. Bradford, Digital TrendsThe IdeaTab S2110 is the kind of tablet that looks good on paper, but doesn't quite deliver once you get it into your hands.
- Aaron Gingrich, Android PoliceIt's funny to me that Lenovo sells the A2109 as a budget tablet and not the S2110. Sure, your $100 gets you a bigger (and much better) screen with the S2110, but it has the most appalling performance I can imagine. A cheap Chinese knock-off tablet offers better performance, without a doubt. It boggl...
