This Xiaomi-backed smartwatch has incredible battery life

I’d rather wear this (or a less rugged version of it) than a Wear OS watch, honestly — the software isn’t that much more limited, and the power efficiency is a huge advantage. I’m not sure exactly how Huami is making its watches last this long, but if you want a cheap smartwatch with long battery life and don’t need particularly complex functionality, this one is worthy of consideration.

Aggressively simple

from Android Authority

It's not the best watch in any one particular category, not by a long shot. But it offers the basics at a price point essentially no one else is targeting. The built-in GPS, heart rate sensor, durability rating, and 14 sport profiles make the T-Rex an overall great value, though Huami has a lot of work to do with its software features.

A smartwatch that’s durable in build and battery

This thing is nowhere near a replacement for any of the tools or capabilities of your smartphone — no notification actions, no music streaming, no texts or calls — though I understand that this is not the T-Rex’s aim. It’s an alternate way of doing things that you can already do on your phone while also tracking your heart rate.

Rugged and cheaper than you’d expect

from Android Authority

Huami is going for durability here, and it shows with the T-Rex’s hardware. The case is made of plastic and has a MIL-STD-810G durability rating and 5ATM water resistance. Under the hood, the Amazfit T-Rex comes with a built-in GPS, heart rate sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, and a battery that Huami says will last 20 days on a single charge.
