The Amazfit GTS has a nice (if unoriginal) design, a vibrant display, and impressive battery life, but inconsistent step tracking and unreliable alerts are the bane of its existence. If you’re interested in a cheap smartwatch, you’re better off looking elsewhere.

The Amazfit GTR comes in at a much cheaper price than its rivals and matches most of them when it comes to performance and abilities. But the lower price does come with a few drawbacks.

The Amazfit GTS is well made from quality materials, and I like the various colors available, the super slim design, and the comfort. It has solid fitness and activity tracking features, and the screen is bright and sharp enough to make viewing a pleasure. However, the notification support is unacceptable, the setup process too lengthy, the software a little buggy, and outside of the design the Amazfit GTS doesn’t offer anything over cheaper fitness bands.

Among all the three Amazfit smartwatches that I have tried, the GTS is the one that I would wear every day. Yes, it is not smart. It is not as smart as the Apple Watch or any mainstream smartwatch. I think that’s the beauty of it. For me, I don’t need my smartwatch to be another screen I keep looking at all times. I rather want it to augment my smartphone notifications and help me decide when to actually pick up my phone. The Amazfit GTS does that function really well.
Think of Amazfit GTS as a more premium version of the Amazfit Bip. It comes with the same great battery life but a much better design. Think of Amazfit GTS as a more premium version of the Amazfit Bip. It comes with the same great battery life but a much better design. The watch also has an improved accelerometer and heart rate sensor, along with some features that are missing on Bip such as swim-proofing. But no doubt, its highlight is the absolutely beautiful AMOLED display.

The Huami Amazfit GTS is certainly an interest new wearable, and there's more to like than just the very competitive price. The build quality and AMOLED display are excellent, and for sports tracking with GPS I would be more than happy using the GTS as a fitness tracker. The biggest downside is the software, which is not as refined as Apple's or even Wear OS.
