A smart watch with a sharp, bright screen and a long battery life

There are holes in the Huawei Watch GT. But it is also just about the best watch out there for those who want something that looks smart in the day, but has the exercise tracking skills to satisfy real run training. That this is also matched with just about the best battery life seen in a watch with a screen this bright and punchy seems almost like magic.

Battery brilliance comes with some compromise

from Pocket-lint

The Watch GT has so much potential. With its fantastic OLED display and all the hardware you could need to track virtually any activity, it's an ideal modern fitness partner. However, low frame-rate and no always-on display are limiting factors as a result of the long battery life.

When hardware and software don’t mesh

But in practice, its feature set and its real-world abilities don't exactly match its relatively high $230 price tag.

A competent fitness tracker but sub-par smartwatch

from TrustedReviews

If you want a decent-looking fitness tracker that you can wear outside the gym, too, then you could do a lot worse than the Huawei Watch GT. This is one of the more attractive trackers on the market for £200, and comes with all the sensors and hardware most semi-serious athletes will need to monitor performance.

Slim, premium and long lasting basic smartwatch

from TechNave

Overall, the Huawei Watch GT has nearly everything that most smartwatch users need. It has a more than 2 weeks battery life, it is 5ATM water and dust resistant, it tells the time just fine and it even points the way with a compass and built-in GPS.

Features make it a tempting option

from Tech Advisor

The two-week battery life and impressive exercise and sleep tracking features make the Huawei Watch GT a tempting option, but without third-party app support and a host of other common smartwatch features, we wonder just how smart the Huawei Watch GT can be. It’s an amazing fitness tracker, but not a very smart smartwatch.

The Huawei Watch GT is a great fitness and health tracker that ultimately forgets to deliver basic smartwatch functionality. The wearable's distinct lack of notification interactivity and third-party applications is simply impossible to ignore. And while the device is an accomplished workout companion and provides scores of health information, it is certainly not for everyone.

Huawei's latest smartwatch doesn't come with Wear OS

from TechRadar

The Huawei Watch GT doesn't look to be the most accomplished smartwatch, but that's not what the company intends with this device. If fitness and battery life are the most important things for you, the Watch GT may be worth it if the price is right.
