As long as you get to enjoy the best in acoustic quality, these headphones are all you need

from Gear Hungry

What separates the Surface from other headphones is that its noise-cancelling capabilities can be easily adjusted. What you get are clear, crisp, and rich acoustics that you can literally fine-tune to your liking.

Gadget Guy

An excellent first effort

from Gadget Guy

It works perfectly with Microsoft Surface and Xbox products and carries these design cues. In fact, the Platinum grey corporate look appeals to more people than I thought it would – a little bit of originality.  As far as BT, NC headphones go it is a worthy contender that any Microsoft watcher should consider.

There's a lot to like about these headphones. They're comfortable, multi-function, and the controls are very intuitive - plus noise cancellation is great. But Microsoft has been over-ambitious with its pricing. Given the wide range headphones in this bracket, available in diverse styles from companies with rich heritages of delivering superior audio products, Microsoft's first Surface offering will struggle to make waves.

Really warm sound with a richness more like a nice speaker

A good first try, but not good enough

from Digital Trends

The Surface Headphones look great and rank among the most intuitive headphones we’ve ever tested, but the tech specs are just too far behind competitors for us to recommend them at their steep price.

Not only do they sound fantastic with plenty of punchy bass, they also have noise cancelling built-in, making it easier to completely immerse yourself in the music. The left earcup doubles as twistable dial that lets you quickly choose one of the 13 levels of noise cancelling too, so it's easy to briefly let the outside noise in such as when listening to public transport announcements. They're comfortable and have up to 15 hours listening time.
