The Crossfade 2 Wireless are a very likable set of headphones and are mostly great. They are certainly improved over the original Crossfade Wireless which were already great headphones. Yes, they are pricey, a bit heavy, and their goth-industrial styling certainly isn't going to appeal to everyone, but if you've got the cash and like their looks, you're going to really enjoy these cans. They've been over-engineered in a delightful way and make almost anyone who tries them on feel bad – the good kind of bad. After all those years I’ve finally experienced a V-Moda Headphone. The V-Moda Crossfade 2 Wireless left me a positive impression overall with it’s great build quality, form factor, style and usage. To be honest with you, sound is not up to my liking overall. When I look at it in an objective manner though, it’s a great headphone for bass lovers and fun sound signature. For round two V-Moda has knocked it out of the park with the Crossfade II Wireless. They're infinitely more comfortable than the originals, and while they still deliver strong bass the sound profile is better balanced, more accessible and even Hi-Res Audio certified (the lack of aptX HD is amiss, however). The industrial design may still be divisive, especially in certain colour finishes or metals, but we find the Crossfade II Wireless to be mighty impressive top-of-the-line over-ear cans.
