Perfect camera to most of action camera lovers

from Wondershare

However it may not seem a perfect camera to most of action camera lovers with many annoying defects but still it has so many features that offer impressive results. The price factor as well as performance of camera is much superior as compared to many newcomers in market.

It is a very good camera, delivering very similar performance to the GoPro

from 9to5Mac

It is a very good camera, delivering very similar performance to the GoPro. The main areas where it falls short are the lack of waterproofing – requiring the use of a bulky case – and the more limited field of view. However, that missing 15 degrees FOV really makes surprisingly little difference in real-life use.

This Chinese newcomer delivers 90 percent of the Hero5 Black’s functionality at around half the price, for those on a budget who don’t need waterproofing.

Manages to ape the GoPro Hero4 Black on many fronts

from TrustedReviews

it’s a fantastically well-built action camera offering great performance, which is marred only by an annoying control system that’s too reliant on the touchscreen – the touchscreen is still a very welcome inclusion, however.

Small action camera

from Photography Blog

The YI 4K Action Camera is neat and tidy, and is small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. As the lens protrudes just a little from the front, it might not fit in a super tight trouser pocket, but looser ones, such as jacket pockets, should be just fine.

A 4K action camera at a cheap price

from TechRadar

This well constructed POV cam shoots the same 4K 30fps video and 12MP stills as a GoPro Hero5, yet has a bigger touchscreen and a lower price. There's no voice control, but aside from that the YI 4K is a polished performer, and terrific value.

The YI 4K Action Camera is your run-of-the-mill action camera because there’s nothing about it that blows you away. It’s really just a cheaper GoPro-like device made by another company, which is totally fine. YI waited for others to spend a large amount of time and money on developing action cameras before it inserted itself into the conversation, meaning its own action camera doesn’t have to be priced high to make up for development. While the software bugs are a little odd, it’s not a deal breaker. So, if you’re looking for an affordable action camera capable of 4K video but don’t want to go with a shady brand, YI’s offering is for you.

This little camera is excellent

from Android Police

I honestly thought that the Yi was going to be trounced by the more expensive, and far better known, GoPro. Those preconceived prejudices began to crumble within just a few hours of using both cameras. This little camera is excellent. It doesn't perform as well as its pricier competitor, it performs better.

Pevly

Very good value for the money

The camera creates natural looking videos and photographs. For its price it is probably the best bang for the buck if you’re looking for a more advanced mid-range sports camera. For cheaper cameras you can take a look at Xiaomi YI or Eken H9.
