The Wirecutter

Feels light, sounds fantastic

from The Wirecutter
These headphones feel light, they stay put, they sound fantastic, they have a lifetime warranty against sweat damage (which, if you sweat through one pair of headphones a year, can really add up!), they charge pretty quickly (in around two hours), they have a nice case, and you can wear them several ways, depending on what works for you. However, getting the fit correct the first time takes a little more patience... Full review

Look good, stay secure, and are comfortable to boot

from Reviewed
When it comes to wireless sports earbuds, though, there really is no shortage of options out there. As long as you're willing to shell out some dough for the convenience, the Jaybird X2s hover right near the top. they look good, stay secure, and are comfortable to boot. In our book, that makes them a clear winner even if it takes a little more upfront investment to get the most out of them... Full review

Leading the way in wireless earphones

from Android Guys
Jaybird once again delivers a strong wireless earphone contender with the X2. The construction is robust and ready for your active abuse, and usability is immaculate. We're glad that Jaybird doesn't let down with sound quality, although, we could use better bass next time... Full review
GSMArena

Fairly well-balanced sound

from GSMArena
The Jaybird X2 deserves credit for just being as small as it is while still being fully functional. On top of that, the sound quality is great, the earphones fit securely, are sweat resistant, and the battery life is decent considering the size. There are some minor niggles, and a bit more attention to detail is required. Also, some might find the bass a bit lacking but that's something that can be fixed easily with an equalizer preset... The Gadgeteer

Excellent sound experience, great minimalistic design

from The Gadgeteer
I have been using the Jaybird X2’s for several weeks and like them even more than the originals. For me, the X2’s fit and sound quality are noticeably better than their predecessors. The multitude of earbud tip sizes, material types and ear fins combine for a comfortable, solid fit. Their sound and call quality are very good as well, making for a great listening experience while working out. These premium sport-centric earbuds come with a relative high price tag but it is nice to know you are covered by Jaybird’s lifetime warranty against sweat... Full review

A popular in-ear Bluetooth sports headphone gets refined

from Cnet

For those hoping for a totally new product from Jaybird, this isn't it. "Some consumers expected a total overhaul," a Jaybird rep told me, "but that would mean abandoning the things that worked so well. Instead, we viewed X2 as an opportunity to refine an already spectacular product."

I'm not sure the previous model was "spectacular," but I like the Jaybird X2 and think it's one of the better wireless sports headphones out there. However, it's also one of those products that's going to work great for some people and not so great for others. So despite the improvements I've got to ho... Full review

iLounge

A solid choice for a pair of Bluetooth sport headphones

from iLounge

If you’ve got the money, Jaybird X2 is a solid choice for a pair of Bluetooth sport headphones. They’re light, they sound very good for their intended use, battery life is great, and, try as we might, we couldn’t kill them with sweat. Though the X2 is undoubtedly a very well-designed pair of headphones, their utilitarian sport focus resulted in a somewhat unflattering shape not present in some other Bluetooth headphones that sound just as good. Despite the somewhat-odd look — and despite still sporting a relatively high price tag — X2 is one of the best options... Full review

PC Magazine

Exceptionally secure fit and solid Bluetooth audio performance

from PC Magazine
It's hard to say anything bad about the Jaybird X2 earphones, other than the fact that the price is high and the lack of left-right ear labeling is a minor annoyance. At $180, the Jaybird X2 earphones aren't cheap, but the company has taken great care to ensure they stay in place during tough workouts—and the audio experience is bass-forward without being overtly bass-heavy. These earphones sound as good as plenty of non-exercise-focused models in this price range, and thus easily earn our Editors' Choice... Full review
