The Overdrive Pro 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot is a good choice if you're looking for a way to stay connected without running out of data or breaking the bank. You'll get more reliable, faster speeds with 4G LTE from AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, but you'll also be paying a lot more. The Clear Spot Voyager lacks 3G support, but it also gets you unlimited data on the same 4G WiMAX network as the Overdrive Pro. It's smaller and more portable, with much better battery life, but it lacks the Overdrive Pro's external display. The Freedom Spot Photon from FreedomPop is another interesting choice. It too... The Overdrive Pro is a decent 4G hotspot, especially if you'll primarily use it to surf the web. However, now that Sprint has nixed its unlimited 4G data plans for devices like this, it's not the best deal. We would rather spend $5 more per month to get Verizon's faster 4G LTE speeds... Full review

It looks like Sprint has a winner on their hands with the Overdrive 3G/4G mobile hotspot. The company’s 4G rollout is still far from complete, but they already have coverage in some cities, which is more than most carriers can say. Many users won’t be taking advantage of the 4G any time soon, but even so the Overdrive delivers a very solid 3G mobile hotspot with all the router features people are looking for, a good price tag, and apparently none of the apparent security concerns of the MiFi...
