Those of you on Verizon feeling a bit envious of T-Mobile getting the first crack at the new BlackBerry Curve 8520 need not be jealous anymore as we hear that it will also be available on your carrier albeit going by a different model name.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 Aries is what it will be called, and is essentially one and the same as the Gemini recently announced by RIM. Being a CDMA-friendly handset, this will feature 1xRTT/EV-DO connectivity as opposed to GSM/EDGE. Everything else, however, looks to be the same. No word though on when it will exactly be released the market, but news of a BlackBerry Curve 8530 should be good news for you loyal Verizon subscribers out there drooling over the Gemini.

Likewise, this opens up the possibility of it also debuting on Telus or Bell in Canada, but evidence of this happening is yet to surface.
