We’ve already got the BlackBerry Magnum 9220 and Pluto 9900 to look forward to this year, and apparently, there’s still room for one more, the BlackBerry 9300 codenamed Gemini.

The Gemini codename isn't certain and final, but there is already a 9300 model underway. So what can we expect from this new RIM smartphone? The specs aren’t available yet, but from what we hear, it’ll feature a larger and higher resolution display than the BlackBerry Curve 8900. Likewise, the CPU is expected to be better than the current ones though how much so is still not clear. The keyboard will be a little more rounded, and it’ll most likely be quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. No details yet as to the megapixel rating of the camera and whether it will come with WiFi and GPS or not, but we’d like to think those are pretty much standard based on the current offerings of today. The release date isn’t known yet, but our source predicts that it could be released as early as Q4 of 2009.

Anyway, it’s still a long way to go before this new BlackBerry hits the market. We’ll probably get more info as the months go by. Just treat this bit of news as a heads-up that a new BlackBerry is indeed in the works already.
