Sure, we already know that a T-Mobile G2 is on its way, but it seems that we could expect more than one Android phone to debut this year as well.

Based on an interview with Fierce Wireless, T-Mobile’s senior vice president of engineering and operations, Neville Ray, disclosed the following:

As the year progresses there will be a significant number of HSPA-capable smart phones. We will be launching more G series phones and other products.

Safe to say, this more or less confirms of the G2’s existence and that there’s more to come as far as the G series is concerned. Aside from that, the info about more HSPA-capable smartphones being released is equally delightful to hear, but as to when these will all happen remains to be unknown.

Nonetheless, this should be good news for all T-Mobile subscribers and Android phone hopeful owners as they now have something to look forward to as the months go by.
