Our European friends may have gotten first dibs on the XPERIA X1, but it seems that not all is well with Sony Ericsson and their XPERIA X1 campaign.

While demand for their first Windows Mobile-powered device is definitely there, the company apparently is having a hard time keeping up with orders due to manufacturing delays. The lack of certain materials has been blamed for the setback. Sony Ericsson, however, is quick to reassure us that XPERIA X1 launches in countries such as the US, which is scheduled this month, won’t be affected by the shortage.

While we’d like to believe their word is as good as gold, the delayed release in the other countries such as the Philippines makes us think otherwise. Back in September, Sony Ericsson announced that the X1 was going to be launched in several countries on September 30 including the Philippines, but up until now, it's yet to be seen in the shops. A November 14th release date was then issued only to be postponed again to November 28th. Hopefully, this time around, they can keep their promise and make the XPERIA X1 available to US consumers in time for the holiday. Quite frankly, waiting for this phone's release is becoming taxing to say the least.
