Nuviphone in Trademark Dispute

Garmin does an Apple when it dubbed its GPS-equipped mobile phone. Apparently Nuvifone infringes on the Nuvio Corp’s trademark. Nuvio Corp is an internet phone provider, much like Linksys’s Iphone is. Nuvio makes a point that [Their] customers commonly refer to our service as the Nuvio phone. Nuvio phone and Nuvifone do not sound that far apart. I mean if you are wont to omitting rounded vowels, no one will be able to tell which phone you are talking about. You mean the GPS phone or… I’m sure you get my meaning. Via
