After the gaming punch of the N81, Nokia goes back and replenishes one of its old strengths, the camera phone. Besides all of the connectivity goodies like HSDPA, WiFi and A-GPS, the N82 improves on the N95's Carl Zeiss camera by adding a xenon flash. This means you can take pictures like a real professional with your N81.
Form-factor-wise, the N82 is a candybar with a smallish numeric keypad reminiscent of the N70. This improves the phone's sleekness, though for texters this might cause some dis-comfort. The 2.4-inch screen takes up most of the space up front. We can only assume it's all-metal casing, which is a nice touch for Nokia, but don't expect cotton balls in your pocket either.
The phone is already available throughout the globe for $657.
Update: Nokia doesn't seem to think the N82 deserves a larger marketing effort. The N82's debut is relatively free of fanfare. Look at the specs, however, HSDPA, WiFi, A-GPS, preloaded with Maps, gaming, video capture on the 5MP camera with Xenon flash, geo-tagging (available from a software update) and unlike the new N95, this phone's precious camera has a shutter cover.
