Brian Lam’s iPhone Review
Brian Lam of Gizmodo has written a lengthy review of his iPhone. In a gesture of tough love, Brian points out what iPhone is lacking in a rather matter-of-fact way that only a real fanboy can do, it’s painful just reading it: The real elephant in the room is the fact that I just spent $600 on my friggin’ iPhone and it can’t do some crucial functions that even $50 handsets can. I’m talking about MMS. Video recording. Custom ringtones. Mass storage. Fully functioning Bluetooth with stereo audio streaming. Voice dialing when you’re using a car kit. Sending contact info to other people. Instant friggin’ messenging. Sending an SMS to more than one recipient at a time Is he going to return it? No. His reason. A firmware update can easily fix what the iPhone is mixing, but its rivals (especially Windows Mobile smartphones) will never fix their essential inferiority. Brian also points out that the Leopard OS is unstable especially when you browse the Web. But unlike Windows Mobile, the UI goes down gracefully, with little to no collateral damage to the phone’s core stability. And the best thing about this post: tons of inviting pictures for people without an iPhone yet. Don’t worry, though the post is long, Gizmodo provides a table of contents.
