The iPhone Gets Too Hot

The iPhone Gets Too Hot
Summary (AI)

The iPhone is in public hands. You could see a lot of hand-on videos in sites like Engadget and Gizmodo. The new owners verdict: it’s pretty much as blogged and advertised. So, it’s not just hype. Blog Think Secret actually took apart their iPhone. They were very careful with the process, but it was a tragedy looking at the most beautiful cell phone ever built in pieces. PC World had the most creative idea. Why not scratch the screen using your keys. Hey, why not drop it on concrete. So far, after thousands upon thousands have had an actual iPhone in their hands and operated it, it’s all been praise. Well, almost. There’s a problem with the iTunes activation process. Some people apparently can’t do it, even after downloading the latest version of iTunes. I had it on good authority that Macs which run an illegal version of OS X Leopard will not be able to activate their phones via iTunes. But, perhaps, the most newsworthy complaint is from one new owner at MyiTablet. He was syncing emails from his MacBook Pro (which also gets very hot) for 20 minutes. When he came back to take a call, the iPhone felt hot. Not enough to burn you or to even be comfortable but it was beyond warm. Read the blog entry from MyiTablet for more. Scroll down at the comments section for other interesting iPhone downside like not being able to upload photos from iPhone.
