Cellphone Trends: Mp3 Not That Important, Cellphone More Important Than Radio
Jacobs Media’s recent technology poll have confirmed a lot of what we already know. MP3 features in cellphones failed to make it to the top most used features in cellphones. Texting is highly popular as we all know but what I didn’t know is that people use their cellphone calculators oftener than they do the camera, ring tone and games. It seems that music playing is an over rated feature while video recording is underrated. Cellphones are also becoming one of the necessary entertainment devices, especially for the 18-34 age group. Seen as a purely luxury and business device ten years ago, the mobile phone has graduated into one of the most important accessories today. There appears to be a disparity between the sexes when it comes to viewing cellphones as a necessary gadget, with more women ranking the cellphone as their must-have technology compared to the men, while other technologies – TV, Internet and FM radio – do not show such disparity.
