Haier Black Pearl GSM PhoneAfter featuring a black Nokia Aeon yesterday, we thought we'd write about a phone that is just as pretty and a little bit more real.

Also promoted as an MP3 phone, the Haier Black Pearl is a lozenge-shaped handset that's about three times as large as a real lozenge and only a little bit harder to swallow. It only weighs 2.24 ounces or 65 grams and has the exact dimensions of 3.5" L x 1 1/4" W x 3/4" D. Haier is a manufacturer of a varied array of electronics and products. Haier isn't focused on manufacturing cell phones like Motorola is, but you have to admit that it makes a better-looking phone.

The Haier Black Pearl is a really unique handset in that it isn't only tinier compared to other micro handsets, it also stands apart by being as fully functional as any average-sized mobile. Besides being an MP3 player, the Black Pearl has stereo Bluetooth, USB memory drive, an additional 1GB Trans-Flash slot and even 3D graphics. The thumb rocker on the side makes for a delightful navigation. Haier has not announced a price for the Black Pearl but word is that the Black Pearl will be as high-end as anything you'd find in Paris Hilton's purse.
