T-Mobile will soon be launching the G2 Android phone, and apart from being the successor to the G1, this will also be the first handset to be compatible with their 4G HSPA+ network. To keep everyone in suspense, they’ve put a silhouette of the G2 on its newly launched teaser site. According to reports, this baby is scheduled to roll out sometime in September and will be another Android handset made by HTC.

T-Mobile G2 teaser

We're still in the dark as to what the G2 will look like and what it has to offer. However, considering that two HTC Android phones are rumored to be launching next month on T-Mobile, namely the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Vision, it could actually be one of these two phones. If the T-Mobile G2 will be similar to its predecessor and sport a QWERTY keypad, then it might be the HTC Vision. That’s our guess at this point in time, but it could also dump the QWERTY keypad altogether which makes the HTC Desire HD the likely candidate. Or, if you prefer a third option, this could be a completely new device that hasn’t been leaked in the past. Oh, the possibilities!

Anyway, September is just a couple of weeks away so it won't be long now before we eventually find out what the T-Mobile G2 is all about.
