HTC DesireBased on the latest news straight from the grapevine, it appears that HTC has another new mobile phone to add to their growing collection of super-sized touchscreen phones, the HTC Desire HD. There’s no leaked picture yet to accompany this rumor, but we do have right now some specs to whet your appetitie. How does a 1GHz Snapdragon 4.3-inch (AMOLED or SSLCD) touchscreen phone powered by Android 2.2 and equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities sound to you? Not bad, eh?

Word is that it will also come with XviD playback support, SRS surround soumd. 4GB of internal memory, and similar to the HTC Legend, will feature a unibody aluminum design. So basically, it might not even resemble its namesake, the HTC Desire, that's pictured above and will be made available in Canada courtesy of Telus. As far as the HTC Desire HD's release is concerned, October has been mentioned as its possible roll out month.

It's still a long way to go before October so we’re expecting to hear a lot more about this purported HTC Desire HD phone in the coming months. Hopefully, one of which will be a snapshot of it in the wild.
