Android 2.2 FroyoAndroid 2.2 (aka Froyo) has finally been announced at the Google I/O event, and apart from native USB and WiFi tethering, it also comes with a bunch of other new features that Android users will certainly love. Compass support is now integrated in Google Maps browser, and its default web browser now come with full Flash support and has been improved to become, as Google claims, the fastest brower in the mobile market today. They’ve also allowed music streaming and voice gestures to launch apps too.

No word though on when the Android 2.2 update will become available, but hopefully, it won’t be that long of a wait.
