We’ve already gotten a brief glimpse of what Android 2.2 might look like thanks to a flash demo video on the Nexus One, and now, we have more news regarding the latest version of Android.

Android 2.2 USB, WiFi Tethering

TechCrunch has confirmed that Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) will come bundled with native USB tethering as well as the ability to turn the device into a mobile WiFi hotspot. The screenshot above is proof of this, and for those who are more interested in its performace, you surely won’t be disappointed with Android 2.2 as it’s reportedly 450% faster than current Android 2.1 version. Google has apparently also caved in to the demand to allow users to install apps on the memory instead of just being limited to the phone memory.

Google is expected to officially announce Android 2.2 at this week’s Google I/O event, on May 19th to be exact, so it won't be long before we get confirmation on these new features.
