Not a day has gone by and Engadget has already managed to snag the first full body pictures of the upcoming Google Nexus One phone, or as most people would prefer to call, the Google phone.
Aside from getting a better look at its physical aesthetics, we also get a preview of the upcoming Android 2.1 OS which is loaded on it.
The new 3D enhancement to the app tray is a nice touch, and you’ll notice that there’s now a new grid icon at the bottom of the homescreen. When pressed, this displays a preview of all the homescreen pages available just above it.
This snapshot below reveals that it will also come bundled with the new Google Goggles app.
Taking a look at the system info page, it confirms the device name as Nexus One and Android 2.1 as its OS.
This last image verifies that both WiFi and Bluetooth are standard on the Nexus One.
Apart from the optical trackball and touch-sensitive buttons below the display, it reportedly also comes with a volume rocker on the side, and we’re willing to bet that a 3.5mm jack is somewhere there as well.
Oh, and before we forget, the Nexus One has also just been approved by the FCC and it actually comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSUPA (850/1700/1900MHz) that’s compatible with both T-Mobile and AT&T. Will both carriers be offering this Android phone sometime soon in the US? This is what we’ll be keeping an eye on in the coming days.
