Hot off the heels of Bell’s announcement confirming the newest BlackBerry Bold, Rogers has announced the 9700 as part of their line-up.

Given that they were the first to introduce the BlackBerry Bold series to Canadians, it doesn’t come as a surprise that they’ll also be introducing RIM’s latest Bold.

Similar to the other new RIM offering from Rogers like the BlackBerry Curve 8520, the Rogers BlackBerry Bold 9700 also boasts an optical trackpad and comes loaded with the urMusic app. It will be bundled with a 2GB microSD card which will be very useful since the Bold 9700 packs a measly 256MB flash memory.

Rogers will be releasing the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in the coming weeks and will retail it for $299.99 on a 3-year contract with a voice and data plan of at least $45/month.
