We’ll probably never know the real reason behind its delayed release, but what’s important is that the Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 will soon become available on AT&T consistent with the ealier report.

Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 AT&T Release

How soon? Well, based on the latest news, you can expect this nuvifone to be available for retail beginning October 4th. It was also mentioned to cost $299.99 on a 2-year contract or $374.99 on a single year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate is applied and with the required $30 data plan. Outright purchase price is pegged at $549.99. It’s undeniably pricey, and with quad-band EDGE/GSM, tri-band HSDPA/UMTC, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera, and 16GB memory now being standard fare in most phones these days, it’s hard to justify its steep cost especially since it’s got nothing extraordinarily new to offer consumers.

Of course, this is a premiere Garmin-Asus device so that should account for something, right? Anyway, we’ll leave to you guys to judge on whether it’s worth getting or not.
