The WH-XB700 headphones are a certain upgrade—because it retains the awesomeness of bass, while making everything else better at the same time. Comfortable to wear, the companion app allows some tweaks and extended battery life simply add to the feeling of positivity. At a price of well under Rs 10,000, there really isn’t much to nit-pick with the WH-XB700 headphones.

Good all-rounder’s

If you use them as 3.5mm corded, you won’t be happy. If you use them as Bluetooth and take a little time to set up the app as you like it, then they are great. If you use them as 3.5mm corded, you won’t be happy. If you use them as Bluetooth and take a little time to set up the app as you like it, then they are great. As over-the-ear are more prone to falling off, I cannot recommend them for sport or running. I see a great use for walkers that need some ambient sound (and coolness), TV watchers (light and cool) and office users (ditto) as long as you use BT.

Sony have delivered everything (and more) that users could reasonably expect from a decent, but not top level set of headphones. The really simple breakdown is that they’re comfy, the sound is solid and the battery life is brilliant. If you’re not a regular traveller – I’m absolutely confident that the sound quality and comfort, coupled with the price will make these excellent value and performance prospect for any buyer.

Dark sound profile, sub-par isolation performance

Okay for mixed usage. The Sony WH-XB700 have a very bass-heavy and dark-sounding audio quality, which won’t be great for critical listeners unless you listen to bass-heavy music. Their on-ear fit doesn’t isolate much noise and won’t be the best option to use during your daily commute or at...More

Okay for mixed usage. The Sony WH-XB700 have a very bass-heavy and dark-sounding audio quality, which won’t be great for critical listeners unless you listen to bass-heavy music. Their on-ear fit doesn’t isolate much noise and won’t be the best option to use during your daily commute or at the office. They can be an option for sports if you don’t mind the bulkier design of on-ears. They’ll be more breathable than over-ear headphones and they are fairly stable for a light run. However, due to their Bluetooth latency, they’ll be sub-par to use for watching video content or for gaming.

In my experience, they made for a great accessory while watching content, listening to podcasts, and the 3.5mm headphone jack is an added advantage. The headphones also come with impressive battery life for Bluetooth, which should be sufficient for most users.

Sony’s wireless bass bangers promise a whole lot of love for the mass

from Stuff

The Sony XB700 are a great pair of wireless cans for the price. The Sony XB700 are a great pair of wireless cans for the price. Keeping aside the prowess of bass, it brings great features, decent build quality, great connectivity and of course, the Sony badge, all for a cool ₹8,990. These lean more on the bassy side in terms of audio quality, but if you're a casual listener who just wants an affordable headphone with decent audio quality, enough to make you headbang to the music you love, then these will do the job and bring that smile on your pretty face.

Big bass, warm sound and a terrific battery life

from India Today

The Sony WH-XB700 is not just for bassheads looking to get immersed in good vibrations. Sony has done well to make sure that vocals are prominent as well, so you get a warm and pleasant listening experience. The battery life is absolutely exceptional and that alone should make you happy.

An ideal bass headphone at the price point

from MajorHifi

Though it’s certainly not the cleanest sound I’ve heard at around 100 bucks, it is an ideal bass-head’s headphone at this price point. And perhaps, even those with more moderate tastes will still appreciate the warmth offered by the low frequencies.
