As a freebie, these earphones were more than acceptable. They free you of the tyranny of cables, they’re incredibly comfortable and super convenient – and they sound better than a pair of AirPods to boot. However, if all you want is a decent pair of true wireless headphones to go with your existing phone, they make a far less convincing case for themselves, with lacklustre sound quality and spotty connectivity outweighing the Galaxy Buds’ undoubted practicality.
I would personally have to choose the Galaxy Buds over the AirPods. I love the extra bass in the audio, the in-ear sealed fit is really great for when I go to the gym or run, the design is minimal and clean, and remember the Galaxy Buds are $40 less than the AirPods 2. As much as I love the AirPods, the Galaxy Buds just work better for myself. But, If the AirPods stay in your ear good and your an Apple fan the AirPods are great as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds offer great sound, more than 5 hours of battery life and near-instantaneous pairing, all in a stylish, comfortable pair of buds.

The Galaxy Buds prove an ideal partner to Android smartphone devices. These headphones are lightweight, practical and a solid candidate for daily mobile use requirements. The touch function is also a very user-friendly and welcome addition.

If you own an Android device and are looking for comfortable, well-built truly wireless earbuds that sound decent and have a good battery life, get the Samsung Galaxy Buds. They have a versatile, balanced sound that lends itself well to music genres of all sorts, and those who don’t mind the fit of in-ears should find them comfortable enough to be suitable for longer listening sessions. Unfortunately, they have very bad wireless latency, so they’re not ideal for gaming or watching TV.
This is a classic AKG sound signature in an adorable and liberating little package. Clean and well-balanced, these Buds are perfect for those who listen to all kinds of genres. And I have to admit, it’s one of the best sounding true wireless earphones I’ve ever tested under $150.

The Galaxy Buds are a great integration of Samsung’s hardware and software teams, with just a few drawbacks. For $129 they sound good enough, they’ll complement your Galaxy S10 effortlessly, and they’re easy to carry around all the time. That’s a win for Samsung. But if you’re trying to be a little more discerning, it’s a mixed bag.

These in-ear music makers offer a hassle-free way to listen to your favourite tracks and their comfortable design and clever charging case all add to the appeal. Good battery life and the fact they link to almost any phone, including Apple devices, is also a big added bonus. There are some minor niggles including those annoying touch controls and these should be avoided if you want your ears to be rattled by deep bass.
