Deliver mondo bass in a sporty package

from Digital Trends

While not the best option for the money, if your main jam is hip-hop, the Powerbeats3 deliver clear vocals alongside mondo bass in a package that will stay put.

The Beats Powerbeats3 Wireless are great sports headphones that are fairly versatile for everyday casual use. Their stable ear-hooks and the breathable in-ear fit are great for working out. Unfortunately, they don’t have the best noise isolation performance, which will affect their effectiveness during a daily commute or at the office. On the upside, they don’t leak too much so you can mask more ambient noise by raising your volume, and their battery life will last you for a full workday.

Bluetooth headphones with a terrific bass kick

Price-wise these are on the high side for sporty headphones, but they do a fair job of justifying this. Price-wise these are on the high side for sporty headphones, but they do a fair job of justifying this. They stay on well and achieve a good, snug and largely sound-insulating fit, although clipping on the ear hooks can be a bit awkward. Design is fairly pleasing to the eye but also practical, with water resistance and drop protection well covered. The W1 chip means setup is a breeze for Apple users, and sound quality is good where it counts: loud, brutal beats.

Top running headphones with 5 min quick charge

The Powerbeats3 are well made, sound good and have impressive battery life. But if thre is a sticking point then it is the price.

Fitness-focussed in-ears get the W1 treatment

Solidly built and with a great battery life, the PowerBeats 3 get a lot of things right - but at this price point they need to do a little more than this to make them a worthwhile purchase. They're acceptable all-rounders with great battery life and solid bass response, but there are cheaper headphones out there that do much of what the PowerBeats 3 do better.

Sound Guys

A good pair of headphones, not great

from Sound Guys

Overall, I like these headphones for what they were made for: the gym. The overemphasized bass does give me an extra push when I need it, but I use a different pair of headphones throughout the day to actually listen to music. These only come out of my bag when it’s time to exercise.

Secure fit, great sound quality

from TechGearLab

The Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats3 combine high end athletic performance with impressive sound quality to create a near perfect bundle of Bluetooth goodness, but that goodness does come with a correspondingly high price tag.

Good Housekeeping

A great pair of wireless in-ear headphones for fitness fans

Good Housekeeping

They stay put during exercise thanks to the adjustable ear hooks. The overall sound is good, although in some genres there was a slightly overpowering bass. They have up to 12 hours of listening time and a quick five-minute charge will provide one hour's use if they're dead and you're in a hurry.

The workout headphones you've always wanted

from Business Insider

With an outstanding battery life and an excellent build, the Powerbeats3 have become an essential part of my workout routine. Though they are by no means perfect, these earbuds are worth a look from anyone who wants to step up their audio game while at the gym.

Reckoner

Ideal for active people

from Reckoner

For the active folk out there I think the Powerbeats3 are definitely the better choice. However, you also need to be someone that enjoys the more rigid or bass emphatic style they’ll offer to truly get your money’s worth.
