Android Authority

Extravagantly expensive

from Android Authority

If you want sophisticated headphones with great ANC, the Master & Dynamic MW65 are a strong contender. You don’t just get great looks when you shell out for these, though; you also get excellent audio quality thanks to the aptX HD support. The biggest drawback? Price.

These take the excellent sound M&D is known for and add active noise-canceling

The list of things to love about the MW65 is long: The styling and materials, the low weight, the crazy battery life, the excellent noise-reducing tech, the crisp audio. But the $500 price is about as lovable as a good toe stubbing. I can't remember the last time I spent more than $350 on a pair of headphones, and even that is some gourmet cheese.

The comfiest headphones we’ve ever worn

from InsideHW

The MW65 ain’t cheap (it’s $500). But wow, do they look good, and they’re so lightweight and comfy it’s physically difficult to go back to other, more cumbersome headphones. If the sound and specs aren’t top of the line, they’re certainly close enough.

Produces fantastic sound and prominent noise cancelling

from Tom's Guide

Aesthetically and sonically, the Master & Dynamic MW65 cans are a stunning piece of audio hardware. The headphones deliver sound that matches up well against Sony's flagship cans, along with effective noise cancelling that filters out excessive noise better than most other models in the category.

At £449, the Master & Dynamic is an expensive pair of headphones. But you get a great look and comfort as a result of design and materials. They're great sounding, too, while the ANC is effective. However, the main competition is considerably cheaper: Sony and Bose's big-selling ANC cans cost around £70 less, but their build quality isn't a patch on the M&D, if it's the kind of style you're after.

The M&D MW65 headphones are some of the best-sounding, most stylish and most comfortable noise-canceling headphones you’ll find in 2019. That said, they probably won’t be for most people simply because they’re expensive and, comparatively, you’ll probably be just as happy with Bose’s or Sony’s flagship noise-canceling headphones. If you like the industrial aesthetic of M&D and you won’t headphones that are unique, and you’re willing to spend a little bit more, the M&D MW65 are excellent.

Headphone Review

Excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, beautiful design

from Headphone Review

These are arguably the best-sounding wireless headphones out there, plus they’re beautifully-designed and super comfortable too. Sure, the price is high, but if you have the cash and want a pair of great-sounding headphones, these are absolutely the way to go.

Almost the perfect headphones

from Engadget

Master & Dynamic took its time to deliver a set of noise-cancelling headphones, and the wait was well worth it. They have a more refined design than most of the competition, but the MW65 are expensive. Even though the premium materials and stellar sound are better than many of M&D’s rivals, the price tag is hard to overlook.

Good noise-cancelling headphones at a steep price

Beautifully designed, these ANC headphones should provide years of enjoyment. Still, because of price alone, many might be turned off before ever experiencing this near-perfect product.

Android Guys

The premium audio brand adds active noise cancelling and Google Assistant to its portfolio

What we do care about are things like everyday usage, wear and tear, battery, and features like Google Assistant. To that end, the MW65 are built with precision and care and we’ve truly enjoyed our time with them.
